This one was inspired by one that Suzannah showed us how to make.
Front detail.
Side detail.
Late edit: After looking at the photos in my blog post I went and hacked into the top, narrowing the straps and lowering the armholes. Do you think it has helped? I only turned under the edges and didn't bind them as I still have not cleaned the kitchen tonight (shame about domestic duties) and tomorrow I start another batch of dance costumes, so all my machines will be threaded in red.

Yes, that was a good 'tweak' to your pattern- looks great now.
Yes I think it looks better too. I don't look at you and think 'pear shape' .. no way!
I've just finished the kitchen and too tired (as usual) to sew.

Cute tank. I thought this tutorial was pretty groovy too. Your second go does look better.
Hi - I love the stripe you have used!
I think it is more slimming with the narrowed straps too. You could probably slim the hip area too, but I know that is going to be a pain with those drawstrings.....!
Love it - it surprises me that such a minor edit could make such a difference to the look.
I love the details you've added to this tank, its gorgeous. I also think you're being a bit too hard on yourself.....
Really like the side ruching detail on this tank and the fabric is extra cute. Looks fresh and interesting, perfect for summer!
Tank looks great, your alterations certainly have made a difference.
The top looks very cute on you. I like the alteration you made... what a difference.
Late comment, but I love this tank. I think the narrower straps made all the difference.
