My first foray into Marfy patterns

This has been one of those sewing adventures where somehow I have ended up with an outfit that I would never consider buying.

It started with me testing patterns from an old Vogue catalogue on my croquis to see which styles suited. I liked the top and skirt from Vogue 2857. Then I remembered that one of the patterns that came with the Marfy 2007 Spring / summer catalogue was similar (Marfy 0224). This pattern was recommended for jersey or crepe fabrics. I had a buttermilk knit in my stash that I had bought just to see what buttermilk was like...and a few hours later I had a jersey skirt and top, which is not my usual style at all.

The teal skirt in this photo is made from Vogue 7971.

I have the catalog and have considered making the top as well. I like how yours turned out. Thanks for the pix

May not be your style, but it certainly looks good on you. Maybe a new style has "found" you rather than the other way around?
