I made this top back in April, but I must confess to wearing it only once...somehow it just doesn't feel like "me". I think the print is the problem. I have photographed it this week in my attempts to bring my blog up to date. Bernice has been visiting and taking all these photos, and she thinks it looks alright, so perhaps I'll give it another go.
The pattern is the Stylearc Rosie Top. It has extended sleeves, princess seams from the shoulder and a peplum. It is a slip-on style with back closure and there is a pleat in the peplum at CB. I made a muslin, but then ended up taking in the top a little more with a couple of pleats at the front.
I did take one photo during construction. The fabric is a lightweight cotton and when I made the facing, I stitched it right sides together to the interfacing and turned out to give a clean edge to the facing. This is a neat finish that would not work on a heavier fabric.

I love the Rosie top, it's a quick, easy make. I love yours... I think the colours are very you, but maybe you don't wear these normally. Bernice is right! I find the bust points too high on this for me and have yet to remake it. Maybe now the visitors have all nearly gone, I'll get a chance. That penguin is getting a little fresh!
I think it looks great. Perhaps you'd feel better wearing it with a skirt?
I think you really nailed the fit - great job. I havent tried any Style Arc patters yet. I like the colors , but know what you mean if it's not you . I would wear it with a denim skirt, because that's my go to comfort item .
I think it's darling...but I'd wear it with a pretty skirt.
I love the fabric and think it is very "you". I made a linen jacket with a peplum that I have only worn twice since I made it and I blame it on the peplum... it seems very dressy so I find it hard to fit it in with my lifestyle.
The fabric is really pretty and the top looks lovely styled with shorts. Listen to your sister!
This is really lovely! Simple lines, but with some interesting details.
It looks lovely on you, and the colours are definitely yours! I like how you're wearing it with shorts and I hope you've managed a few more wears since this post!
