Roll-end denim skirt
I bought a roll-end piece of this printed stretch denim.
After stashing it for a while, I decided that the print was a bit too much for me, so I used the reverse side to make a skirt and utilised the printed side for a few little details....frayed side edges, frayed back pockets, coin pocket and I turned the hem up on the outside. The pattern is Vogue 2811.
The tricky bit about this project for me was the topstitching. I used the chain stitch on my cover-stitch machine...I probably should have learnt how to do this with a matching thread rather than a contrasting thread! It does make for a nice top-stitch, but the ends have to be pulled through and tied off straight away because the stitches pull out very easily.

Great skirt Katherine. I really like the way you utilized the print ...with just a touch!
