This first dress (Vogue 7899) is made up in wool crepe....I think I chose the wrong colours, and perhaps I need a pair of knee high boots to carry it off. I'd like to make it up in a summer print.
The second dress (Vogue 8241) is an espresso polyester with a ribbon tie. The bloused style didn't really work for me.

Both dresses look great. It's a little hard to see the color of your first dress, the sun is reflecting in the photo. But from what I see, I think the colors look great.
