You've reminded me that I have a tested pattern that I might be able to alter for the same result.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351864927910092883.post-71821533489163626572013-11-28T12:53:36.967-08:002013-11-28T12:53:36.967-08:00I think I know the brand to which you're refer...I think I know the brand to which you're referring. I made two muslins of a simple top before giving up. Among other things, it turns out that the patterns are drafted for a larger bust size than my own.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351864927910092883.post-35568045301108227312013-03-10T05:11:27.280-07:002013-03-10T05:11:27.280-07:00How annoying! I've never used Grainline patterns so wouldn't comment on that brand but I found another really popular independent pattern maker's blouses were ridulously hard to fit. Mine was too tight across the upper chest and back. I just gave mine away and wrote off the pattern. You look like the fit could be tweaked relatively easily if you wanted, but sometimes you just put it out to pasture and carry on ahead.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351864927910092883.post-43228809492302120272013-03-03T06:12:48.818-08:002013-03-03T06:12:48.818-08:00Well, I think it looks good on you but I also am s...Well, I think it looks good on you but I also am sewing a beachy, casual wardrobe right now.. I do think the armscye could be lower, giving you more room. I've also shifted the bust dart a little. Since making these changes I've made quite a few successful tanks.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17692255718087191913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351864927910092883.post-42705819594769722972013-03-03T01:04:50.529-08:002013-03-03T01:04:50.529-08:00Yeah, there is something just a bit NQR going on h...Yeah, there is something just a bit NQR going on here. I'm curvy enough to know that relatively unstructured tops in woven fabrics just won't look good on my, so I steer clear of them. That said, some really curvy ladies have had good success with this pattern. <br />The pale turquoise is really gorgeous though, and a wonderful match to a really nice necklace as well!poppykettlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05089242289854891320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351864927910092883.post-46176268560246919282013-03-02T22:24:32.432-08:002013-03-02T22:24:32.432-08:00Your findings with this pattern are interesting be...Your findings with this pattern are interesting because it was on my wish list.
